An oval bowl with a rising rim. The surface shows a painted, multi-figural scene, a copy of the painting by Guido Reni of "Apollo's chariot, escorted by the muses, pursuing Aurora", (around 1600), which is a fresco on the ceiling of a garden house, standing in the garden of the Rospigliosi palace in Rome. The rim is decorated with alternating fields of foliate and bell-flower motifs jointed and framed by embossed gilding. The coat of arms of the Batthyany-family is in the middle, just above the painting. Impressed markings on the bottom: a shield in blue under glaze and the date 819.
