The leaf is divided up by fields of various shapes and colours—uncoloured, black, blue, and red—, in which there is classicist-type festoon and other ornamentation. In the middle can be seen a small copy of The Aldobrandini Wedding, one of the best-known frescos of ancient times, discovered in Rome at the beginning of the 17th century. The verso is unembellished. The sticks are unadorned, but on the guard-sticks there is narrow line of ivory inlay. On the upper part of the guard-sticks there are small medallions amidst a wavy grid pattern on green foil.
